Lucas Niggli Tentet

Lucas Niggli is no stranger to Jazz em Agosto, having passed through the festival as part of the explosive trio Steamboat Switzerland. But if the imaginative drummer has spread his fire through numerous projects and collaborations (especially with Barry Guy), the path he has chosen for the group Sound of Serendipity, published by the discerning Intakt Records, is a revelation. It’s a torrential source of originality, unpredictable, fuelled by the Swiss national team dedicated to improvisation. The drums lead the way, without fear of groove, and flute, voice, accordion, tuba and organ orbit around Niggli in a spectacular whirlwind.
