Oba Loba

The multicultural sextet Oba Loba returns to Portugal to present the recently released Pantufa Alcalina. The radiant music of Oba Loba is hard to label. The melody is indeed a central element, at times travelling through distorted folk with neoclassical elements, and at others reminding us of the eccentric compositions of Carla Bley. The result reveals itself in a hybrid between various musical idioms emanating lively creativity.
