Lisboa Mistura

Lisboa Mistura has established itself, since 2006, as an intercultural space dedicated to new languages and creative trends, where some urban encounters emerged that mark the contemporary artistic scene of Lisbon’s recent history. The 18th edition takes place at Capitólio on October 13.

The programme includes the Cape Verdean funaná by Memé Landim, the Ukrainian polyphony of Litá, the Afro-Brazilian resistance of samba by Coletivo Gira, the mandinka culture of Guto Pires, the Portuguese tradition of Adufe and Alguidar, percussions pan-Africanists by Mick Trovoada, the pedagogical hip-hop of OPA – Oficina Portátil de Artes, and also the reincarnation of the Lisnave project (which includes rapper Valete, saxophonist Carlos Martins, guitarist Jery Bidan, bassist Francisco Rebelo, percussionist Iuri Oliveira and drummer Alexandre Frazão). In addition to music, the programme features Argentine storyteller Catalina Figini and an intercultural crafts market.
