The Look/ Supernova

Created in 2019 for the Batsheva Dance Company, The Look by Sharon Eyal is marked by an intense physicality and a movement that is simultaneously fluid and mechanical, creating a hypnotic effect. Eyal explores the relationship between the performers and the space, using repetitive and synchronized movements that capture the audience’s attention from the first moment.

Supernova by Iratxe Ansa & Igor Bacovich is an energetic and avant-garde piece premiered at the prestigious Basel Ballet Theatre. In a cosmic setting, full of bright and black-gray stars, the duo creates a pulsating work that takes performers to their physical limits. Guided by the raw forces and tremulous sound of John Adams’ Shaker Loops, the performers are transformed into a single body, continually snaking under tension.
