José Pedro Cortes

One of the images from José Pedro Cortes’ archive shows the figure of the neophyte (the one who has just been baptized), which opens up a space for reflection on places of impermanence and the tension of the body that, in conflict, experiences a transition. In this exhibition, a narrative is outlined that points to states of meditation, resistance and surrender, as non-passive actions that are difficult to visibly translate.
