Le Nozze di Figaro
Met Opera Live in HD

In Le nozze di Figaro, one of W.A. Mozart’s most famous operas, the plot takes place over the course of a single day – the day on which Figaro and Susanna marry. From the very first note, this charming opera buffa follows the outline of a comedy of deceits, with mistaken identities and constant twists and turns. The return of Richard Eyre’s successful staging for the Metropolitan Opera, which Gulbenkian Music is broadcasting, is conducted by Joana Mallwitz and features two of the biggest stars in operatic singing today: Michael Sumuel in the role of Figaro and Olga Kulchynska as Susanna.
