Agriculture and Architecture
Taking the Country's Side
Taking stock of the serious environmental threat the planet is facing, this exhibition aims to offer a (current and retrospective) reflection on the intimate connection between the twin disciplines of agriculture and architecture, as well as on their growing distance since the industrial revolution. It aims to learn how agricultural scientists, activists and designers have consistently explored the hypothesis of a future dominated by energy deprivation in the future and its consequences for the redefinition and maintenance of living territories. Agroecology and permaculture have created useful concepts and strategies for imagining a post-industrial technology based on a radical economy of energy and material resources.
