Antena 2 Festival
2025
The Antena 2 Festival is bringing live and onto the stage a symbolic part of what can be listened to every day on public radio. This is a proof of life of the diverse content that defines Antena 2, presented before the audience’s eyes, and not just out in the ether or the virtual world.
The festival includes a wide range of classical music concerts (Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras, conducted by Jan Wierzba, with harmonica player Gonçalo Sousa taking centre stage; the baroque music group Divino Sospiro, conducted by Massimo Mazzeo; choral music with Voces Caelestes conducted by Sérgio Fontão; chamber music with wind instrument quintet Art’Ventus), as well as the Setúbal Jazz Orchestra, conducted by Carlos Azevedo in a tribute to Zeca Afonso, world music with Cape-Verdean Batucadeiras Finka-Pé, philharmonic music with the renowned National Republican Guard Symphony Band, under the baton of Ricardo Torres, and project Ópera Buzz, which intersects chamber opera, video, scenery and humour.
