Armanda Passos
Oil Painting a retrospective

Armanda Passos was a Portuguese painter who, through her art, wanted to give a voice to women and who throughout her career portrayed the importance of women in the art world. She graduated from the Escola Superior de Belas Artes do Porto and presented her work from 1976 onwards. Throughout her artistic life, her work was shown in collections in several countries around the world, such as Spain, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, England , Luxembourg, Italy, Turkey and the United States.
80 oils of great importance belonging to public and private collections will be on display, which only now, after the artist’s passing, will be publicly presented, showing us the creative, intense and inventive process of this artist who was an authentic and solitary one, oblivious to fashions and a powerful creator. The exhibition is curated by Fabíola Passos, the Artist’s daughter.
