Batimento, the new choreography by Tânia Carvalho, marks the beginning of the collaboration between Teatro São Luiz and Escola Superior de Dança. Tânia Carvalho responded to this challenge, launched during the school year, analyzing the individual characteristics of the various students/dancers, based on short solos that gave rise to a abstract structure that dialogues with music written by choreographer. The show evolves as if in a sequence of beats, resulting from the intersection of two or more frequencies. And the stage shows movements, individual and collective, of up to 40 elements.
