Beth Gibbons

Beth Gibbons, the voice of Portishead, brings the Lives Outgrown tour to Lisbon. The album is made up of ten new songs recorded over ten years, produced by James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode, The Last Dinner Party) and Beth Gibbons herself, as well as Lee Harris (Talk Talk).

This is her most personal work to date, the result of a period of deep reflection and change – “many goodbyes”, in Beth’s words. These are songs from a middle point in life, when looking to the future no longer holds the same promise and looking back takes on a sharper, more melancholic focus. The album addresses themes such as motherhood, anxiety, mortality and menopause. The concert is scheduled for July 16 at Coliseu dos Recreios.
