Cinalfama – Lisbon International Film Festival

Cinalfama is back at Escadinhas de São Miguel and Museu do Fado (Fado Museum) for it’s 3rd edition. The festival celebrates independent cinema and has free entry. The programme features 50 films, 31 national premieres and 46 international films (France, Germany, Spain, Turkey, Belgium, Brasil, Argentina, China, Japan, Italy, Ireland, USA, Norway, Iceland, among others). Hannes Schilling, Mariame N’Diaye, Erin Johnson, Gabriela Nobre, Edgar Morais, Renata Sancho and Laura García Perez are some of the directors present at the event.

Cinalfama distinguishes the categories: City in Film Award – films in which the city plays the main role; Animalfama – aimed at animated films for adult audiences; Micro & No Budget – films produced with low resources; Best Script Competition; Medium Length; Best Soundtrack; Best Portuguese Film; Best German Film (guest country) and Best Debut Films. The Cinalfama Grand Prize is the festival’s main distinction.
