Luis Paulo Costa

Flowers and Other Paintings is the first solo exhibition by artist Luis Paulo Costa at Galeria 111, which marks the beginning of a new artistic collaboration.

In the artist’s own words. “I don’t know exactly how or why I started painting flowers. I was tired at the end of the year, but I needed to paint. I found myself painting flowers. After a while the flowers led me to paint bodies, alone or accompanied, of a very obvious sexual nature. It seemed very natural to me how one thing led to another.”
