MAAT 8th anniversary
MAAT celebrates its 8th anniversary on October 4, 5 and 6, with a special programme. Over three days, the museum will host a variety of activities and experiences exploring the intersection of art, architecture, and technology.
This is an opportunity to discover the museum’s new exhibitions: the collective Black Ancient Futures, All the World’s a Stage with works by American photographer William Klein, and INVERTED ON US by artist Catarina Dias.
On this occasion, the museum says goodbye to the exhibition Nosso Barco Tambor Terra, the large installation by Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto. On October 5 there will be the procession concert O Barco Vai de Saída, with the participation of the artist and musicians from BANGBANG PERCUSÕES, Bloco Bué Tolo, Adufe & Alguidar, Baque Mulher Lisboa and Coletivo Gira.
On the same dates, MAAT Garden and MAAT Central will host a Block Party, an event that celebrates the fusion between art, music, gastronomy and a spotmarket.
