Maria João

Maria João presents her latest album, Abundância, at Trindade Theater, on April 22, and also celebrates her 40-year career. Her unique voice spanned jazz, electronica and musical traditions from different geographies. The album reflects a creative restlessness and the return to Maria João’s Mozambican roots. It reaffirms the singer’s artistic boldness by embracing new sound challenges and incorporating influences ranging from jazz to electronic experimentation and African sounds.
