Moving People

A project about meeting each other. A space to talk with the other, with others, without cultural borders of language or history. A space to talk about memory. About utopias. About the future to be built from the new. A future in common.
The meeting takes place between people who have moved around the world, migrants, refugees who have set off in search of a new home. Besides the immigrants a local actor also participates in the show. The memory of those who come from outside and the memory of those who are from the city is also present.
Inside a container, a live documentary about the encounter between the immigrants and the actor is filmed, edited and projected every day in the presence of the public. The film is made live, sharing ideas and stories, which are stimulated through questions asked by Christiane Jatahy. The audience sits on both sides of the container and watches the movie. At some point the screens rise and there is no separation, no border, between those watching and the one telling the story. The encounter is complete: between the audience and the guests, between performance and cinema.
The public is asked to bring objects to build this house under construction. And it is these objects, brought by viewers, that give color and detail to the film.
