Netos de Bandim with Djilam Ture
Founded in 2000 in Guinea-Bissau, the group Netos de Bandim is one of the main forces in promoting and preserving Guinean culture, carrying out remarkable research work with a vast repertoire that includes styles such as gumbé, djambadon, kussundé, and cabaró.
For this performance at TBA, the group has prepared a programme centered around the concept of mandjuandadi, a tradition involving community ceremonies and circles for sharing stories and knowledge, initiated by women in suburban centres of Guinea-Bissau.
