Noé Sendas
Goin'home
For almost a year, Noé Sendas thought about the Brotéria space, thinking about the idea of house, through literal, conceptual or even spiritual readings. The set of works now presented in Goin’ Home stems from the artist’s and curator Ana Anacleto research and involvement with the space, therefore, from an awareness of the daily experiences of those who pass through there for various reasons.
This exhibition draws, piece by piece, a pathway that goes through the entire house, proposing new visual routines first-hand. The artist’s works are subtly replacing some of the pieces of the permanent collection, so many visitors will not be sure of what used to be there instead. This is a way of challenging the automatism of everyday life and our natural lack of attention to our surroundings.
