Silvestre Pestana & Supernova Ensemble
Festival Rescaldo 2025
Formed in 2022, under the artistic direction of João Dias and José Alberto Gomes, Supernova Ensemble is a collective whose thoughtful work has fostered artistic intersections across various fields, including music, dance, theatre, video, and sound installation. The ensemble includes artists from a range of practices and genres, such as jazz, modern composition, electronic music, improvisation, and new technologies. Pautas (2024) is a revisitation of the set of 20 works created by poet, performer, and visual artist Silvestre Pestana in 1975 in the aftermath of the April Revolution.
