Sissoko – Segal – Parisien – Peirani
Les Égarés
Since joining Toumani Diabaté in New Ancient Strings, Malian musician Ballaké Sissoko has become one of the most striking kora players of our time. His poetic interpretation of the African harp found a perfect partner in French cellist Vincent Segal, in 2009. After issuing marvellous albums as a duo, they are now joined by another exceptional duo, accordionist Vincent Peirani and saxophonist Émile Parisien, in a quartet that transcends genres – neither jazz nor traditional music, neither avant-garde nor chamber music. Les Égarés is pure beauty.
