Surrealism: A Leap into the Void
In 2024, we commemorated the 100th anniversary of the publication of the First Manifesto of Surrealism by André Breton. Over the past 100 years, Surrealism has profoundly influenced the visual arts, literature, cinema and even philosophy, challenging conventions and exploring the unconscious, the dreamlike and the absurd.
The Cupertino de Miranda Foundation presents a unique exhibition that celebrates this Centenary with emblematic works that portray the subversive spirit and creative freedom that define this artistic movement. A vast selection of works by Portuguese and foreign artists and authors is brought together, whose creations are closely linked to Surrealism, from its beginnings to the present day.
