Swan Lake tells the story of an impossible love between Prince Siegfried and Odette, a young woman who was turned into a swan by the sorcerer Von Rothbart. This classic and timeless work, recounts the duality between good and evil, represented by the purity of the white swan, Odette, and the duplicity of Odile, black swan and sorcerer’s daughter.
Swan Lake is one of the most famous ballets in the world, and is now told by the virtuoso movements of the dancers of the Kiev Ballet. Expressing emotions through the beauty and delicacy of dance, the piece has choreography by Marius Petipa and the music of Piotr Tchaikovsky, reminding us that even in the darkest moments there is always a light.
