Viagem Musical pela Europa
Gulbenkian Orchestra
The Gulbenkian Orchestra will take you on a journey through different styles and sounds. Soloist Beatriz Cortesão will get things underway with Concerto for Harp, op. 74, by Reinhold Glière, a rare and seldom-performed piece that explores the expressive potential of the instrument. This will be followed by Sergei Prokofiev’s popular and vibrant Symphony No. 25; Maurice Ravel’s Pavane pour une infante défunte, a delicate and moving piece that will provide a moment of reflection and serenity; and, to round off the evening, Cesário Costa will conduct Rossini’s The Barber of Seville, guaranteeing a memorable end to the concert.
Free admission for ticketholders - tickets can be acquired on the day of the show at the Foundation’s ticket office from 5 pm (maximum of 2 tickets per person).
